How can I send gcode-commands?

Hello together,

does Somebody know how to send single gcode-commands?

I want to send commands remotely via LAN for example to disable the steppers or move the turntable.

I have seen that there are gcodes listed in the documentation, but I don't know how to send it to the HAT.

Thanks and best regards,

Dan

You can try to use minicom. It is pre installed. First stop the FabScanPi-Server.

/etc/init.d/fabscanpi-server stop

Then you can just connect to the HAT by using:

minicom -D /dev/ttyAMA0 -b 57600 -8

Afterwards send the G-Code command with ( enable Motors and full turn of stepper motor ):

M17
G01 T3200 F800

You can use M100 to get a full list of available commands. There was already a thread about HAT communication here

If you want to send those commands via LAN you can use a bash script containing the minicom commands which can be triggered by ssh. Otherwise you need to build a webservice.

@mario

Thank you very much for your fast and precicely ändert.

I will try it when I'm back from Holidays.

Best regards,
